# Can a kustomization include a Helm chart?

Kustomize, Medium (Advanced), Integration. https://k8wiz.com/uquiz/can-a-kustomization-include-a-helm-chart

- A. No, Kustomize has no way to use Helm charts
- B. Yes, any resources entry that ends in .tgz is rendered as a Helm chart
- C. Yes, through a charts field that runs helm install
- D. Yes, through helmCharts, when the build runs with --enable-helm

**Answer:** Yes, through helmCharts, when the build runs with --enable-helm

**Explanation:** The helmCharts field renders a chart with Helm, and kustomize build only allows it with --enable-helm. The Kustomize docs call this support limited, so many teams render the chart separately or use a tool that runs Helm itself.
